Halfway to (Geek) Heaven

We've shot past 50% Funded! Over the weekend and through a holiday, you guys have managed to pledge more than half the funds we need to make the New Illusive as Saucy and as Awesome as an Awesomesauce Pie coated in rich, velvety awesomesauce and served with Awesomesauce Chips.

Warm Fuzzies

You know what people seem to love? Perry. Perry, Perry, Perry! He's getting lots of Hugs in the near future, and you folks laid claim to all the scarves he'd planned to make for the Kickstarter. So we asked really, really, really nicely and he agreed to make 5 more scarves for the "Perry's Big Warm One" Level. Huzzah!

Now that this campaign has been going for six days, we're also tweaking some of the other Reward Levels. Take another look at the campaign to see if there's an upgrade that appeals.

And then check on us a little later, because we're waiting for some new unique Reward items to arrive. Very Special Somethings. As soon as we've confirmed their availability, there will be another Update.

What's Behind Door Number 2?

Since we're on a pretty good pace for such a short Kickstarter Campaign, we started to think about what might happen if our funding were irradiated with cosmic rays and unstable molecules... That's right! STRETCH GOALS!

Let's say we power through our $15K Goal and add another $1,000. What could we do for you then?

Raise $16,000 to See the Kickstarter B-Roll! Want more Perry Giggling? Want more Anna Emotions? Want more Steve Sincerity? No! You want more Gaz! We know it. It's okay. And that's what you'll get if we reach this Stretch Goal and release the footage from our Kickstarter interviews that was left on the cutting room floor.

Pledging an extra thousand dollars isn't easy, but we've seen our backers do amazing things. So what if you triple that, which is totally a thing you could do?

Raise $18,000 and We'll start a weekly Podcast of The Steve & Perry Show. Right now, Steve and Perry have more than enough to do in a day. But with a little encouragement, we can free up some of their time to be recorded and podcasted. We'll have lively discussion, special guests, sarcasm, sass, reviews, complaints, and at least two mustaches. The internet will never be the same, thanks to you!

Long Live Illusive!

50 Backers and a Move-In Date

Our thanks to the (as of this writing) 53 Backers of our Kickstarter. You are all so awesome! We are now 38% funded!

This move is going so fast it's making our heads spin. We now expect the new location to be open and mostly settled by August 8th, 2016.

We had to edit one level where Backers could help choose floor designs. We found out yesterday that the flooring will probably be done before the Kickstarter ends!

The drywaller started today and painting will start in about two days. Flooring will go in as soon as it arrives in a week or two.

Anna's son tested out the shop having the walls opened up for everyone, yesterday.

And later in the day, Erik and Anna worked out which walls would be which color.

Now, the while the Drywallers are Drywalling, and the Painters are Painting, and the Floorers are Flooring, don't forget that Backers gotta be Backing. Keep spreading the word! We're doing really well, but this construction project is all about speed speed speed. 

There are only about two weeks left for you to marry into that inheritance, cause a giant scandal, then tell the media you did it to support our Kickstarter! Go forth, and be our viral saviors!

The stress might be getting to us.

Thanks to you all, the past day has been fairly awesome. We're 28% funded already!

Let me tell you about the ... wait, my cat is trying to get my attention. 

Ok, I think she's going to let me type again.

Construction!  Making Space to Do Things In!

So we have a large Classroom Space where we plan to hold all kinds of classes and meetups. If you have suggestions that aren't listed in the Kickstarter, please be sure to tell us! Over the next few weeks we'll put together a calendar of new events and create a Meetup page just for Illusive events.

Then there's the Podcast Room. We'll supply two microphones, power, a table, and chairs. You supply the recording device, humans, topics, and games. We'll set up a schedule for that, too. There's still debate on whether a square or round table would be better.

Biggest of all, of course, is the Main Floor. Since Sunday, workers have demolished all of the walls that needed to go. The Electrician has pretty much finished his work in the past two days. Drywallers come tomorrow to patch up things, then we move on to painting and new flooring!

Perry and Anna bought some fixtures to create New Back Issue bins and shelving today. That cost a pretty penny, but we have to have something sturdier than the cardboard comic boxes we've been using the past few years.

Looking Good

This has been a thrilling and exhausting first day of this Kickstarter campaign. We've done this before, and we know you have our backs, but it's always nerve-wracking to "step out on stage". Thank you again for spreading the word.

The move is going well. The construction is ripping along. The design ideas are flowing. The pledges are growing! Let's do this.
